Trails to Trees: DSRC Plants 100 Benguet Coffee Seedlings in Yellow Trail, Camp John Hay
Camp John Hay, Baguio City — The Down South Runners Club (DSRC), a trail-running community, marked this year’s extended Arbor Day celebration not with a race, but with a meaningful return to the land. The group planted 100 Benguet Coffee seedlings along the Yellow Trail of Camp John Hay, a powerful gesture of gratitude to the trails that have long supported their running journey.
Cultivated at the JHMC Nursery, the seedlings symbolize the collective commitment to environmental stewardship. John Hay Management Corporation (JHMC) has always been supportive to regreening initiatives. The event outlined a shared vision: a forest that thrives alongside the people who walk, run, and care for it—one seedling, one step at a time.
