New Horizons for Camp John Hay: Singh Reandi Returns with Global Ties and Local Heart

Returning from the Philippine State Visit to India, JHMC President and CEO Manjit T. Singh Reandi brought home new connections, opportunities, and a renewed sense of mission.
Representing JHMC among the official delegates, Singh Reandi shared that two potential investors expressed interest in Camp John Hay, who are drawn not only by its promise as a heritage and eco-tourism site but also by its consistent good air quality, which has remained consistently excellent throughout the year. “They were amazed,” he said, “that we are measuring the quality of air inside the camp and maintaining it to be clean and refreshing.”
But beyond business, Singh Reandi’s inclination was clearly with the people. As part of JHMC’s social responsibility, he announced a new initiative to offer free accommodations, at no cost to the corporation, to Overseas Filipino Workers visiting the camp. “They’ve given so much to our country’s economy,” he said. “This is one way we can give back—not just as a corporation, but as fellow Filipinos.”
He acknowledged that the return on investment may not be immediate but emphasized that gestures like these build goodwill and strengthen the camp’s reputation as a place of care and community.
President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. also gave Singh Reandi a clear directive: create programs that make a real difference in people’s lives, a community-based impact development. In response, JHMC is preparing to launch more community-based initiatives, grounded in local needs, shaped by shared values, and designed to uplift.
“We’re not just managing a camp,” Singh Reandi said. “We’re nurturing a legacy—and that means putting people first.”
