Bell House, Camp John Hay- The products handcrafted by the persons deprived of liberty (PDL) are on exhibit at the Bell House, Camp John Hay, today until May 21, 2023.
The Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) launched the campaign with the goal of improving the PDLs’ productive well-being while they were detained. Artistic products like bayong, soft brooms, coin banks, and dream catchers are on display, and all are for sale. The price ranges from as low as Php 250.00 to Php 1,500.00.
John Hay Management Corporation (JHMC) supports BJMP for this kind of activity as it is one of the ways to help PDLs’ reintegration into society and assist them in boosting their self-esteem while also addressing customer expectations. They will support them financially, and the skills they acquire will aid them in finding employment in the future.
