Baguio City- Representatives of barangays within John Hay Reservation Area (JHRA) attended a three-day training and workshop on Community-Based Disaster Risk Reduction Management (CBDRRM) held on April 12–15, 2023, at CDRRMO Office Building.
Initiated by the John Hay Management Corporation (JHMC), the training workshop was the offshoot of the forest fire incident that happened in the past few months in the John Hay reservation area.
Comprehensive topics on planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the barangays on disaster risk reduction and response was discussed by the CDRRMO which is the expert and respected
office on the field of risk and disaster management. It was designed to strengthen and improve their already-existing knowledge of and perspectives on DRRM planning.
Despite the political differences between JHMC and the barangays, JHMC continuously adheres to its public service commitment by consistently showing support to its barangay stakeholders via its corporate social responsibility (CSR) activities and programs as exemplified by said training.
