JHMC Joins Final Nationwide Earthquake Drill of 2025, Reinforces Safety Commitment

The John Hay Management Corporation (JHMC) actively participated in the fourth and final Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) for 2025, a government-led initiative aimed at strengthening disaster preparedness  across  institutions.  Confirmed  through  issuances from the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC),  the  drill  underscores  the  importance  of  coordinated response in the face of seismic threats.
For JHMC, the NSED is more than a compliance exercise; it is a strategic demonstration of the organization’s commitment to safeguarding lives, sustaining operations, and building public trust. Central to this effort is the Incident Management Team (IMT), a structured system led by JHMC President and Chief Executive Officer Manjit T. Singh Reandi, who ensures adherence to policy and resource mobilization.
Beyond earthquake scenarios, JHMC’s IMT has also been activated in response to critical incidents, such as oil spills, fire outbreaks, and search and rescue operations, each requiring immediate coordination, technical precision, and compassionate leadership. These real-world emergencies have tested and affirmed the organization’s readiness to protect its stakeholders and  preserve  the  integrity  of  its  managed estate.
The drill’s tactical execution was led by a designated Incident Commander and a Command Section composed of safety, communications, and liaison officers. Their coordinated efforts ensured clear communication, strict enforcement of safety protocols, and seamless collaboration.
The NSED serves as a reminder that preparedness is a shared responsibility, and the active participation of all staff reflects the organization’s dedication to institutional resilience and public safety. Through both simulated and actual emergencies, JHMC continues to uphold its mandate with vigilance, empathy, and strategic foresight.
