Defining a Fearless Future for Camp John Hay

Tagaytay City, Philippines — On August 28–29, 2025, the John Hay Management Corporation (JHMC) convened its management and board core team for a two-day Strategic Planning Session at Taal Vista Hotel in Tagaytay City. The event was also attended by members of the Board of Directors, top management, office heads, and representatives from the Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA), all gathered to examine and shape the future direction of Camp John Hay.
Leading the charge was Jose Emmanuel P. Guillermo, Officer-in-Charge and Chairperson of the JHMC Board of Directors, who opened the session with a clear call to action: to align JHMC’s vision with the broader goals of BCDA and the Philippine Development Plan (PDP) 2023–2028. His message set the tone for the entire discussion—one of reflection  on  past   and   present   implementations,   recalibration,   and renewed commitment to a better Camp John Hay.
Throughout the planning session, participants revisited the Corporation’s  mission,  vision,   and   strategic   objectives  and  explored   a  refreshed Corporate Philosophy that reflects the evolving values and aspirations of the organization in today’s dynamic landscape.
The team conducted a comprehensive review of JHMC’s performance, identifying both achievements and areas for growth. New strategies were then crafted to ensure the Corporation continues to fulfill its mission and goals with purpose and precision.
One of the most critical outcomes of the session was the review of existing and future programs. Guided by BCDA’s strategic directives and the PDP, JHMC mapped out a path to ensure its initiatives remain relevant, impactful, and aligned with national development priorities.
The planning session concluded with a strong sense of momentum, fueled   by  productive   dialogue,   bold   aspirations,   and   a   unified commitment to propel JHMC forward with clarity and purpose.
