Community Efforts Reinforce JHMC’s Environment Core Values
On March 9, 2025, John Hay Management Corporation (JHMC) partnered with Saint Louis University’s School of Engineering and Architecture Honor Society (SLU-SEAHS) for a recreational clean-up drive initiative. SLU students, members of the Baguio Volunteers Group led by Naethan Modales, and the Baguio Plogging Community led by Lyza Emelo united to cover a wide extent of areas. Their efforts spanned the roads near Panagbenga Park and CJH Gates, all the way to Kadaclan Viewdeck and paths from the Yellow Trail, with over 50 volunteers participating.
Nineteen (19) bags of garbage were collected during the activity. The collected items included plastic wrappers, beer and alcohol bottles, tires, and water bottles.
Community efforts like these, fueled by the love to protect and preserve the environment, reinforce one of JHMC’s core values: passion for the environment. This passion is better achieved through proactive engagement of the community.
