Camp John Hay: Optimizing Economic Potential for 121 Years

The John Hay Management Corporation marked the 121st anniversary of Camp John Hay. This makes this milestone an opportune time to reflect on the strength, resilience, and shared achievements of the camp’s stakeholders. Camp John Hay has evolved to become a commercial boom and family-oriented haven through the concerted efforts of locators, staff, and other stakeholders.
A celebration of more than a century of economic growth and development, the festivities began with an energy-filled parade from Ayala to the Historical Core, where participants illuminated the camp with lights, balloons, and music from the Jose P. Laurel Elementary School Marching Band, creating a lively and colorful presentation. Collective chants and cheers from the Le Monet Hub, Kabadjo Handlers Association Inc., Choco-late de Batirol, Federal Management and Maintenance Inc. (FMMI), the AyalaLand Hub consisting of Careful Hands Laundry Express Inc., Switch, Bellfrei Spa, Nail House, Starbucks, The French Baker, J.CO Donuts & Coffee, ENTECH Philippines, and TechnoHub echoed all throughout.
Highlighting local talent and heritage, the University of Baguio (UB) Voices Chorale rendered their multi-awarded harmonies, offering a soulful doxology and Christmas carols to everyone’s delight. The event also honored the winners of the recently concluded painting contest.
The event concluded with an open-air disco dance and a warm acoustic performance from JC Andrada, a local artist.
The celebration not only commemorated Camp John Hay’s rich legacy but also united its stakeholders to reaffirm their commitment to a shared vision of progress and collaboration.
