NO ROOM FOR WASTE: JHSEZ REINSTATES ANTI-LITTERING POLICY, UPDATES PARKING FEES

Camp John Hay, Baguio City—The John Hay Management Corporation (JHMC), the Camp John Hay’s Estate Manager, has formally reinstated its anti-littering policy and implemented modified parking rates, both of which take effect on July 1, 2025.
These updated guidelines show JHMC’s ongoing commitment to preserving the natural beauty of the camp and ensuring that locators, staff, and visitors have safer, healthier, and cleaner shared spaces.
Environmental Accountability Reinforced
Improper disposal of waste, including but not limited to cigarette butts, plastic wrappers, and other litter, is strictly prohibited under the recently reinstated Anti-Littering Policy. Infractions will result in corresponding fines of ₱500 to ₱1,000 enforced by JHMC’s Security Services.
To support this initiative, the camp has been thoroughly marked with conspicuous signage, and the corporation’s official social media accounts are being used to raise awareness.
Revised Parking Rates Implemented
For an efficient traffic flow and to support facility maintenance, JHMC has updated its parking fees for vehicles entering the JHSEZ. These modifications aim to regulate public access and promote responsible vehicle use, as the camp also has to maintain its clean air all year round.
From Monday to Friday, all four-wheeled vehicles will be charged ₱30 for the first four hours, with an additional ₱10 for every succeeding hour. On weekends and holidays, a flat rate of ₱50 will apply. For buses, the rate from Monday to Friday is ₱50 for the first four hours, plus ₱10 for each succeeding hour, while a flat rate of ₱65 will be charged on weekends and holidays. Motorcycles will be charged a flat rate of ₱30, applicable only on Mondays and Fridays.
A Shared Commitment to a Clean and Orderly John Hay
“These initiatives are more than policy enforcement—we’re fostering civic pride,” said JHMC President and CEO Manjit T. Singh Reandi. “Each measure supports our collective vision of a sustainable, safe, and welcoming environment for all.”
Stakeholders and guests are encouraged to observe posted guidelines and collaborate with JHMC personnel in upholding the integrity and cleanliness of public spaces.
