Bricks, Blueprints, and People: JHMC and Pag-IBIG Partner for Affordable Housing
The John Hay Management Corporation (JHMC) and the Pag-IBIG Fund have partnered to support every Filipino’s right to a decent home, turning their shared vision into a concrete plan for affordable housing.
The Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), which outlines a three-year collaboration, was signed on June 27, 2025, by JHMC President and Chief Executive Officer, Manjit T. Singh Reandi and Pag-IBIG Fund Chief Executive Officer Marilene C. Acosta. They were joined by Pag-IBIG Fund Deputy CEO Alexander Hilario G. Aguilar, Acting Deputy CEO Atty. Marcial C. Pimentel, Jr., JHMC Chairman of the Board, Joel Emmanuel P. Guillermo, and Director Major General (Ret.) Romeo C. Prestoza. This agreement formalizes a shared commitment to expanding access to affordable housing in support of the national government’s goal of uplifting lives through inclusive and sustainable homeownership.
“This is more than just an agreement,” said Singh Reandi. “It’s about building dignity. It’s about empowering every working Filipino with the stability and sense of belonging that only a true home can offer.”
Under the MOU, both parties will collaborate on tailored housing loan programs, identify DHSUD-compliant development sites within the John Hay Reservation Area, and facilitate Pag-IBIG Group Housing Loans with full technical and financial support. They also commit to promoting initiatives that strengthen the culture of Filipino homeownership.
The MOU remains in effect until superseded by a formal Memorandum of Agreement (MOA), which both institutions are optimistic to pursue as the partnership evolves.
